I’ve always loved reading stories about love. I followed this passion, and eventually, I ended up in Paris, helping other people make their love stories a reality! And that’s probably why you’re here, reading this blog – you want to know whether it’s possible to have a romantic Paris elopement or wedding. It brings me great joy to tell you that it is! Therefore, allow me to show you what your ceremony will look like in the city of love!
My clients’ first and main question is, “Can I get married at the Eiffel Tower?”. Absolutely! You can have your beautiful Paris elopement, down by the river Seine, behind the spectacular Eiffel Tower. It just takes a little bit of planning.
Before discussing details, you have to remember that if you want to elope to Paris, the experience is very different from a traditional romantic wedding in Paris. The main focus is on the small ceremony and the photoshoot, rather than the reception and cocktail hour weddings have.
First and foremost, timing is of crucial importance! Since the Eiffel Tower is a timeless landmark, it’s usually busy throughout the entire day. For that reason, I suggest having your Paris elopement ceremony in the early morning hours, once the sun rises. This way, you’ll enjoy your privacy, and your elopement will feel as intimate as ever!
However, this doesn’t apply to having an Eiffel Tower wedding, for which you’ll probably book a private venue.
Next on the list is picking out the perfect spot. There are a lot of places where you can get married at the Eiffel Tower. You just need to walk around the city and find one that works best for you!
Since the landmark is huge, there are a lot of spots to choose from. I recommend the Trocadero, located opposite the tower, or the Champs de Mars, which features lush gardens. You can’t go wrong with any location, as the city oozes romance and offers an unforgettable experience.
Lastly, consider planning your ceremony ahead of time. Many couples plan on having their romantic wedding in Paris and usually have more time to figure everything out. With elopements, though, it’s a bit different. You need to be well prepared for what you want and how you want to do it. Even though the planning is minimal, it still needs to be done!
Having said that, pick your spot and attire, choose your officiant and photographer, and you’re all set! You can also invite some people to your ceremony, but I suggest keeping it private so that it feels more intimate and special.
There’s something so special about having a Paris elopement ceremony. Saying your “I do’s” in the city of love is an incomparable event. That being said, allow me to be a part of your unique love story. I would create a bespoke ceremony for your elopement that will perfectly represent you as a couple. Send me a message – I would love to hear from you!
